If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a big show like A Place In The Sun Live, here’s your chance to find out!
So far this year, our team at French Connections HCB has been invited to take part in no fewer than 5 live events and we’ve said yes to all of them. It’s a great chance for us to meet people face to face and share our excitement and our knowledge about living in France.
But although it looks easy, a lot of preparation goes into being ready when the venue doors open!
It starts with deciding who on our team will be coming along. Richard Hammond, the founder of our company, is always there. He delivers seminars and offers bookable one-on-one consultations to people who have specific questions. Jen Lalley is usually the first of our team to arrive to supervise the set-up. Jen is responsible for every aspect of our participation, from printing our brochures to tracking down the freshly-baked croissants that we like to hand out. Alongside Richard and Jen will be two or three members of our expert relocation team to answer questions across any aspect of moving to France. The more of us there, the merrier, because on a busy day we might talk to 150-200 people…
Our UK shows wouldn’t be possible without Quadrant2Design, the people who created our wonderful new stand. It is fully dismountable so they take it down and store it for us between events, then set it all up again for the next one. If you’re wondering why we don’t put it up ourselves, it’s because our stand is more than just a framework with graphic panels; it also has integrated lighting and a video screen, so it’s definitely better that we leave it to the experts!
We’re taking part in another A Place In The Sun Live event in London on 3-5 May, so you’ll be able to meet the team and check out our fabulous stand for yourself. We even have 50 tickets to give away!
